Looking Ahead and Shaping the Future of the Chamber

The French Chamber recently held a strategy meeting to reflect on our progress and define our vision for the years ahead.

The meeting brought together members of the board and the Chamber team for an open discussion about how we can continue to develop a stronger, more dynamic, and more valuable organisation for our members and partners.

As the French and Taiwanese business communities continue to grow and evolve, the role of the Chamber is also changing. Our ambition is to remain a trusted platform for business connections, knowledge sharing, visibility, and cooperation between France and Taiwan.

The Chamber is working towards a future that is more member focused, more visible, and more connected. This includes developing new initiatives, strengthening our communication, improving the member experience, and creating more opportunities for companies and professionals to engage with the wider community.

One of the main projects discussed during the meeting was the creation of a new French Taiwan Business Awards programme. This new initiative is planned as a signature event that will recognise companies, business leaders, young talent, innovation, corporate social responsibility, and contributions to France Taiwan relations.

The awards will provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our members and the wider business community. They will also create greater visibility for nominated companies and individuals, while encouraging more organisations to become involved with the Chamber.

The project is intended to become an important annual gathering for the French and Taiwanese business community. It will bring together companies, entrepreneurs, institutions, government representatives, and partners to recognise success and highlight the positive contribution of business to the relationship between France and Taiwan.

The meeting also included discussions about strengthening the Chamber’s Privilege Programme. The objective is to make membership benefits more visible, practical, and accessible to a wider group of people.

The programme will connect Chamber members and their employees with selected restaurants, cafés, shops, hotels, and other partners offering special benefits. The website and Chamber application will remain important tools for presenting these offers, while the team is also exploring additional ways to make the programme easier to use in everyday life.

By increasing participation in the Privilege Programme, the Chamber hopes to create more value for members, provide greater visibility to participating businesses, and encourage stronger connections within the local community. The programme will also be developed in cooperation with other French Chambers in the Asia Pacific region, allowing members to access selected benefits when travelling.

These initiatives are part of a broader vision for the Chamber. We want to create a community that offers more than events. We want to support business development, share knowledge, promote our members, and help companies build lasting relationships in Taiwan and beyond.

The strategy meeting was also an opportunity to recognise the commitment of the people who have helped guide the Chamber. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Eva, our Chairwoman, and Terence, our Executive Vice Chairman, for their dedication, engagement, and valuable contribution. Their involvement and support have helped strengthen the Chamber and its community, and we are grateful for the leadership they continue to provide.

The next chapter will be built collectively with our board, our team, our members, and our partners. We look forward to developing these new projects and continuing to create meaningful opportunities for the French Taiwan business community.
