Melchers Travel visited St. Anne’s home in 2020.
Melchers Travel Taiwan is organizing many trips for small, large, and very large groups. But one of the most meaningful trips that they organized last year was when they supported St. Anne's Home in Taipei. Founded in 1972 by a Dutch priest, Fr Beunen, St Anne's home serves people with severe intellectual disabilities.
Providing the children with simple entertainment is quite complicated and taking them out for a small trip, even to the nearby Harbor of Danshui, is a significant challenge for the caregivers. But not for our team at Melchers Travel! They volunteered to use their expertise and professionalism to help the children to have great outings and fond memories!
The experience was at the same time a great way to use our expertise to give back to the community but also an excellent opportunity to learn more about ourselves. We realized how lucky we are to live a comfortable life, even when we have difficult times, like the current Coronavirus pandemic. The team got a great sense of achievement by helping the kids and seeing their smiles.
