Team France at Taiwan Pride 2025: A Powerful Celebration of Inclusion and Solidarity
On Saturday, October 25, the streets of Taipei came alive with color, music, and unity as over 150,000 people gathered to celebrate the 23rd edition of Taiwan Pride, the largest LGBTQ+ event in East Asia. This year’s theme, “Beyond Links: More than Clicks,” invited participants to reflect on how digital platforms and algorithms shape public perceptions of gender, identity, and inclusion. It was a call to move beyond superficial engagement and foster deeper understanding, empathy, and connection.
Despite a shifting global landscape where diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts are facing increasing challenges, the energy and optimism at Taiwan Pride were undeniable. The event served as a vibrant reminder of the importance of standing together to defend and promote human rights, visibility, and respect for all identities.
This year, Team France made a remarkable impact. With around 150 participants proudly marching under one name and one T-shirt, the French community in Taiwan came together in a strong show of support for equality and inclusion. The group brought together representatives from across the French ecosystem; businesses, schools, institutions, and families. All united by shared values and a commitment to diversity.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizations that made this collective presence possible: French Office (BFT), LIFT (French School), CACIB, L'Oréal, Pernod Ricard, BNP Paribas, BNP Cardif, Sanofi, Alstom, and TES – European School (French Section). Your support and engagement were instrumental in amplifying the message of Taiwan Pride and showcasing the strength of our community.
From the lively “rainbow market” to the two colorful parade routes winding through Xinyi and Da’an districts, the day was filled with joy, solidarity, and meaningful conversations. Team France’s participation was not only a celebration, it was a statement of shared values and a commitment to building a more inclusive future.
As Taiwan Pride continues to grow in scale and impact, we are proud to stand alongside our members and partners in supporting this important movement. Together, we reaffirm our belief that inclusion, respect, and diversity are not just ideals, they are the foundation of a stronger, more connected society.
Merci à toutes et à tous and see you next year!
