"Taiwan Global Pathfinder" Ceremony

In 2025–2026, 116 Taiwanese students travelled to France as part of the “Taiwan Global Pathfinder” programme. 🎓🤝🌏 Last Tuesday, a ceremony was organised by the French Office in Taipei (BFT), attended by Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, alongside BFT Director Franck Paris.

Five students returning from this adventure in France shared their journeys and experiences in the fields of public affairs, space, semiconductors, sport and culture. The aim of this government programme is to encourage young Taiwanese students to broaden their international horizons, with a focus on developing global exchanges and connections.

Taiwan Global Pathfinder aims to enable young people to drive innovation across various sectors and to encourage creative initiatives to help them realise their dreams. The projects are proposed and led by the participating students, and the Taiwanese government supports them by providing the necessary resources and mechanisms to help them realise their international ambitions, in collaboration with the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs and the private sector.
