Claude Cossec – Looking Up to the Grand Hotel Taipei｜Towards the Light

French floral master Claude Cossec is proud to present his newest monumental floral installation which transforms the lobby of the Grand Hotel Taipei into a living conversation between flowers, architecture, and light.

Inspired by the theme “Towards the Light”, the installation rises from the ground like a flowering tree reaching toward the sun. Layers of blossoms unfold upward through soft spring colors, creating a sense of movement, growth, and quiet energy within the space.

For Claude Cossec, floral design is not simply decoration. It is a way of guiding emotion, atmosphere, and even the direction of the gaze. Through vertical lines and an ascending composition, the installation invites visitors to naturally look upward and discover the magnificent plum blossom ceiling above, one of the Grand Hotel’s most iconic architectural treasures.

Blending European floral aesthetics with the beauty of Taiwanese flowers, the work creates a balance between tradition and contemporary expression, monumentality and softness, architecture and nature.
