Taiwan Upcoming roadmap overview with NDC Minister Chin-Ching Liu
French Chamber Taiwan had the great honor of hosting Minister 劉鏡清 Chin-Ching (Paul) Liu of the National Development Council (NDC) for an exclusive dinner at the American Club Taipei (ACC). The evening was a remarkable opportunity for key members of the French Chamber Taiwan community to engage in high-level discussions on Taiwan’s economic outlook, industrial innovation, and global partnerships.
Minister Liu provided very detailed and clear insights into Taiwan’s National Development Plan (2025-2028), detailing strategic investments in:
- Industrial innovation– Strengthening Taiwan’s position as a leader in AI, semiconductors, and next-generation industries.
- Capital investment – Driving private sector engagement and attracting global investors to Taiwan’s sustainable and high-tech sectors.
- Talent development – Enhancing Taiwan’s competitiveness by investing in local and international expertise and retention, including digital, green, and high-tech talent.
- Bilateral cooperation – Expanding partnerships with like-minded nations to build a resilient and innovative global supply chain.
With Taiwan’s per capita GDP projected to exceed USD 40,000 by 2027, the NDC’s strategies for fostering innovation and sustainable growth are critical to ensuring long-term prosperity. This dinner underscored the strong economic ties between France and Taiwan and the growing opportunities for collaboration across key industries.
