CCIFT and our Benefactors' First Official visit to the New Taipei City Government

12 August was CCIFT’s first official visit to the New Taipei City Government. We were glad to learn the mayor’s commitment towards SDGs as New Taipei is the first city in Taiwan and the tenth city in the world to release its SDGs Voluntary Local Review!

Here at the Chamber, we’ve been committing ourselves to SDGs:

  1. Raise awareness on carbon footprints via our CCI International France CSR sports challenge
  2. Participate and take pride in our members’ actions towards SDGs
  3. supporting our charities of choices in:

Private-Public cooperation is essential to building a smart and sustainable city.

Under the scope of "smart city” and “smart government,” Mayor Hou shared with our Chamber their frameworks towards the 2050 Net-Zero city with infrastrauctres and energy policies in place. While excercisng the use of Big Data, data securty and privacy are also necessary to protecting citizen rights.

New Taipei City has recently established their “corporate service and integral governance platform” (新北市智慧城市企業服務廉政平臺). This is the next phase of building the “smart city", by forging partnerships between corporates, public entities and legal bodies to manage stakeholders and resources in manners of effiecncy and transparency. The platform would contribute to bringing the public and private sectors together in achieving SDGs.

With the common goal of working towards the Sustainable Development Goals, CCIFT and our members look forward to future partnerships with the New Taipei City Government.
