Welcoming Frédéric Laplanche, the New Director of the French Office in Taipei

Our community is looking forward to welcoming Frédéric Laplanche, the new Director of the French Office in Taipei, to the French Chamber Taiwan.

On August 31, we invite members to a casual one-hour gathering to meet Frédéric, with no speeches or formal programme, just a simple coffee and conversation, not a ceremony.

Mr Laplanche already knows Taiwan well. As the former Head of the European Economic and Trade Office, he worked to strengthen economic relations between the European Union and Taiwan. His interest in the island also led him to write a historical book exploring Taiwan’s cultural and democratic heritage.

We are delighted to welcome him back in this new role and introduce him to our community.
