As ESG continues to shape business strategy and stakeholder expectations worldwide, understanding its core principles and global evaluation frameworks has become increasingly important.

In this session, Joey Wei from the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) will introduce the fundamentals of ESG and explain how companies are assessed against internationally recognized benchmarks.

The World Benchmarking Alliance is an independent non-profit organisation that evaluates the world's most influential companies based on their contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its free, publicly available benchmarks are widely used by investors, governments, and businesses to promote transparency, accountability, and sustainable progress.

Whether you are new to ESG or looking to refresh your knowledge, this session will provide practical insights into how ESG performance is measured globally, what these benchmarks mean for businesses, and how companies in Taiwan can better understand and respond to evolving sustainability expectations.

Participants are also encouraged to share ideas for future ESG topics and discussion sessions.
