Benjamin LAMBERGChief Executive Officer Crédit Agricole CIB, Taipei Branch

·Benjamin Lamberg was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB (CACIB), Taipei Branch in December 2020, with a mandate to fast-track growth of the Bank’s local platform with a special focus on both cross-border financing and sustainability for both corporate and FI clients.

·Prior to this, based in Hong Kong, Benjamin was Head of Global Debt Markets with  responsibility for the credit product line (2012-2020) across APAC, as well as Global Head of MTNs & Private Placements (2008-2020). He held a similar position at Dresdner Kleinwort (2001-2007) prior to joining Crédit Agricole CIB.

·Benjamin has a wealth of experience in the primary debt market and credit universe. His extensive network of contacts with global FI and SSA issuers, coupled with his deep understanding of the dynamics of the global credit and structured notes market facilitate cross-border market development.

·His focus on building Crédit Agricole CIB’s APAC credit franchise has helped revamp its primary franchise in USD and EUR with Asian issuers, spearheaded the development of a well-recognised, tier-one Renminbi bond franchise, and created new cross-border flows in credit distributions between Europe and Asia.

·He significantly contributed to the extension of Crédit Agricole CIB’s franchise in SRI bonds across APAC, both with issuers and investors. 

·He was the chair of the ASIFMA Credit Committee from 2015-2017 and vice-chair of the China Capital Market committee from 2017-2020 where he advocated for greater China access / mainstreaming of the Asian asset class in the global portfolio.

Benjamin attended the INSEAD Leadership Executive Programme in Singapore (2003) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales (2000), after graduating from Université de Paris, Pantheon-Assas in “Maîtrise en Economie & Finance” (1999).
