Throwback on Meet the CEO - Carrefour Taiwan
April 11, we held our first session of Meet the CEO in 2023 with with the CEO of Carrefour Taiwan Lawrence Wang and his team, the Marketing Director Sophia Huang, Merchandise Division Director Sharon Huang and the Chief Sustainability Officer Foundation Executive Chief Marilyn SU.

Angelica Urbina, Kimberly Chen and Leon Wang from Faberico
Angelica Urbina, Kimberly Chen and Leon Wong are the National Chengchi University championing team Faberico of the Hult Prize Foundation. Their initiative of using recycled textiles in building sustainable hospital bedframes in Latin America won praise and attention from the panel.
Lawrence and Marilyn suggest the team start from Taiwan. Once the beds comply with the health and safety standards, the next big step is to find a cooperating hospital locally that can then prove the workability and business model of ESG beds abroad.
Faberco appreciated the advice and recommendations from Carrefour as one of the most helpful pieces of advice in their project trajectory where they’ve been in consulting with over 30 parties.
Charlotte Dubois and Steven Le Niniven from Balicha
Charlotte Dubois and Steven Le Niniven are two chef-turned-entrepreneurs and founders of #Balicha. The two have been providing their #herbalblended #tea from Taichung alongside their crêpe and dessert business.
Originally they came to consult on the packaging and how they could shift their business from B2B, e-commerce to retail and supermarket.
“what’s your story,” asked Lawrence.
Nowadays, consumers connect more with their brands through stories. Bringing out their personal experiences and their profession as chefs could entrust buyers and grow their followers.
