Eva Leihener-Stefan, the CEO of L’oreal Taiwan and the vice chairwomen of the CCIFT drew the curtains, marking the official opening of the Rendezvous. Jean-François Casabonne Masonnave, the director of the Bureau français à Taipei gave his remarks to the Minister and the French business community in Taiwan.

The minister shared eloquently how digitalisation empowers society and democracy. When students from rural villages initiated proposals to the government, Audrey and her team brought livestreaming facilities and organized virtual meetings with the respective committees the students wished to meet.

In adherence to her principle of digitalisation meets democracy, the Q&A session applied Slido where all questions are shown real-time on the screen, which she also introduced to the Korean parliament when she was a consultant there.

Following the Q&A session, a panel representing the French businesses in Taiwan joined Audrey on stage, including: Marc Dicko, CDMO of L'oreal Taiwan, Phillippe Chiu, CEO of UNABIZ, Shelley Chan, Hong Kong & Taiwan GM Vaccines of Sanofi Taiwan, Christina Lin, Ecommerce, Data & Digital Transformation Director, Carrefour Taiwan, and Ryan Chang, Business Development Manager, Thales Group.

Gifts from the CCIFT members were exchanged before a final group picture to mark the end of the day.

The Rendez-vous series aims to connect the French Business Community with key decision makers in Taiwan. During the 1.5 hour luncheon, participants can expect to engage with our ministers, government officials and high-profiled persons to learn more about the latest government policies and advocate to enhance exchanges and collaborations between France and Taiwan.
