Taiwan thanks French companies in Taiwan for their donations & support of reconstruction efforts after the devastation caused by Typhoon Morakot

In order to extend their concern for Typhoon Morakot victims, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Taiwan (CCIFT) estimated that French companies in Taiwan have donated a total of NTD28,325,922 to the R.O.C. Ministry of Interior, Red Cross and other organizations in effort to support the R.O.C. Government and its citizens in post-Morakot assistance and recovery work.
There are currently around 150 French companies based in Taiwan, all active with close working partnerships with local companies in industries such as Aerospace, Automobile, Electronic Communications, Energy, Environmental Protection, Wholesaling, Brands and Luxury Goods. The French-Taiwan industries’ humanitarian efforts for Morakot recovery are evidence of the deep friendship between the two countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to convey its heartfelt appreciation to French companies in Taiwan for their sincere support and kind assistance.
Of all the companies that have generously offered their aid, the CCIFT would like to notably mention the following for not only their monetary support, but also for their goodwill and cooperation:
