Elan is aimed at being a liaison or consulting office to companies which need to develop their strategy for the Taiwan and China market or with Taiwanese companies for neighbor markets. We advise about policy, search for qualified local partners or customers, and follow all aspects of the development of business.

In 1986, Christophe Laurent started to work in Taiwan for a leading local Chinese group then set up his own company in 1989. Since then, Elan became representative of numerous companies, mostly French.

Today, we are organized as a consultant firm having managers specialized in specific fields. We strongly believe that there is a very local way to initiate and to do business with Chinese compa­nies then we encourage Western companies to set up very clear policy before any commercial action. We feel the market is open as much as local people are open to discuss any project but the way to talk business is as different from western way as Chinese language is different from French language.
