French DCI from the Ministry of Interior is highly involved in supporting investigations and the prevention of crimes against French interests, be them individual, institutional or corporate victims.
Within that context, the French regional Securité Attaché, M. Christian Baron has offered to present to all interested companies current trends of cyber-crime, in particular CEO mail scams, which induce a very heavy prejudice on social, business and trust aspects for the victims.
This scam consists of convincing an employee to proceed to an urgent and sensitive operation aiming to obtain a wire transfer by fraudulent means. Perpetrators are from international organized crime organizations and rely on certain failures of humans or the security frameworks of companies.
Purpose: To raise awareness through real cases studies.
The main objective of such a session is to provide attendees with enough tools to understand these personalized scams and identify their own potential failures in security or prevention and to pass them on the necessary know-how to ensure the awareness of their staff as well.
